Last week, I started a site called DIY (Do It Yourself). There is also a DIY app for the iPhone. There are so many badges and so many challenges you do to get a badge. One badge I'm interested in is beekeeping. I like beekeeping because I am very interested in bees' flight patterns. Because of the size of their bodies and their wing size, flight is not logical without their flight pattern. In order to get the badge, I must do at least three of the ten challenges. One of the challenges is to make a homemade beekeeping suit, which I am looking forward to! I'll post a picture of my suit when it's finished.

Hello! This week and the next four weeks, my class and I will be making food from foreign countries. We're doing Mexican all together to learn what we're expected to do, but other than that we'll be doing it in pairs or alone. I will be doing Chinese, Ella and Sicily are doing French, Will and Quinn are doing Polish, and Sarah is doing Italian. The same day we did Mexican food, Will tried to make Coke. Unfortunately, my mom didn't know the seltzer water bottle was as carbonated as it was and seltzer water spewed everywhere! We had a fun, but it was a messy day!

This week, I started home-school! This blog is actually a home-school project along with many other things.  I do math on a website called Aleks, and I use several different science books to choose experiments from.  We're also choosing a meal to cook from a different country.  My country is going to be Mongolia.  I don't know what I'm going to make yet, but I'll share pictures when it's my turn.  My home-school isn't really home-school it's more of a private or hybrid school for middle-schoolers called HoneyFern.  There are only 6 kids in all, Will, Quinn, Sarah (left), Sicily (right), Ella (middle), and me.  I really enjoy home-school even more than public school because I get to learn about things I'm interested in rather than worrying about always getting things signed.  I hope I will always like this better than public school.

Hi! My name is Atticus and I am a 10 year-old home-schooled student. I'm writing this blog to inform you about my life.  Lately, my life has been pretty insane with everything from one of my cats dying to recently starting at a new school.  First, my cat, Blue, fell out of a tree and didn't survive. We guess he got in a fight with a squirrel or another animal and lost his balance and fell.  Also, I guess I'd like to tell you that my sister got five cute little chicks! They are part of her school project.  They're cute, but they sure do stink.  The most important thing that happened this week, though, is that I quit going to my public school and joined HoneyFern, the school my sister has been going to since September.  It is a hybrid home-school, which means that I spend some days at school and some days at home.  I'm really excited about it.  I'm especially excited that I won't have to do boring math worksheets and that I can learn more about science.  I hope you will follow my blog and learn with me!
